Hamilton police investigating drive-by shooting

The Hamilton police are seeking public assistance with an east-end shooting investigation believed to have involved suspects in “multiple vehicles.”

On Sunday evening (Dec. 12), shortly before 9 p.m., Hamilton Police Service received information about possible gunshots being fired in the area of Ottawa Street North and Barton Street East. The responding officers secured the area and located evidence to support that a shooting incident occurred. After continued investigation, police believe multiple vehicles were involved in the incident.

There are no reported injuries to police.

Detectives are asking anyone with information or video surveillance to contact the Division 2 staff sergeant’s office at 905-546-2963.
