Hamilton Police investigating a shooting

Hamilton Police responded to possible shots fired in the area of Wentworth Street North and Barton Street East, Hamilton.

This incident happened on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, shortly before 9:00p.m.

Police can confirm a shooting incident occurred however no injuries were reported.

Division One Criminal Investigations Branch is in charge of the investigation.

Detectives are asking area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police.

Detectives are also asking if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review please also contact investigators.
