Hamilton Police investigate violent east end assault that sent man to hospital

A man remains in critical condition following a violent assault in east Hamilton on Monday (Jan. 3).
Hamilton Police said the man was attacked by an unknown assailant at around 9:15 p.m. while exiting his car in the area of Quigley Road and King Street E.
An unknown weapon was used in the attack, police said, and the suspect fled the area on foot.
The suspect is approximately six feet tall with an average build and wore a black leather jacket, white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
The victim of the assault remains in hospital Tuesday in critical condition.
