Hamilton police hunt for two suspects following recreation centre fire

Suspected arson at a rec centre in Carlisle - Hamilton Police

Two teenagers are suspected of setting fire to the roof of a recreation centre, causing about $100,000 in damages in Carlisle.

Hamilton police are looking for witnesses to the incident that happened on April 15.  They describe the suspects as a man and woman in their late teens with thin builds.

Police and emergency responders responded to a fire at the recreation centre on Centre Road at about 12:05 a.m., according to the force’s press release.

Investigators are encouraging the suspects to seek legal counsel and turn themselves in.
