Hamilton police hunt for suspects in firearms investigations

A 30-year-old Hamilton mother and her 10-year-old son are fighting for their lives after a hit-and-run in the east-end at around 4p.m. Sunday. 

A Hamilton man and a woman who are “considered dangerous” are wanted by the police and have most recently been seen downtown.

The investigation is in connection with the execution of an early morning residential warrant that yielded a large quantity of illicit drugs and a loaded firearm, Hamilton Police said. On Wednesday night, the police said they are looking for 24-year-old Haron Ami Jemel and 18-year-old Kaitlyn Marie Tessier.

“The two were last seen in the downtown area of Hamilton,” HPS says. “They are considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who observes them should call 911 immediately.”

Physical descriptions of the suspects were not provided by HPS.

Jemel is wanted for possession for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; knowledge of an unauthorized possession of firearm; possession of a prohibited firearm; possession of a prohibited weapon; knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon; failure to comply with probation (two counts); and, possession contrary to order (two counts).

Tessier is wanted for possession for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a firearm; knowledge of an unauthorized possession of firearm; possession of a prohibited firearm; possession of a prohibited weapon; and, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon.
