Hamilton Police, Fire Marshal investigate two overnight arsons at mountain business

Ontario’s Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate two arson incidents that took place at a business on the east mountain on Wednesday (Feb. 16).

Hamilton Police said in a press release, they were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. to assist the Hamilton Fire Department (HFD) in responding to a fire at a business near Stone Church Nebo Road, in which three vehicles sustained damage.

Then shortly before 11 p.m. police were called again to the same location, this time to assist HFD which was battling a structure fire at the business.

No one was injured during the incidents and the fires were safely brought under control.

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted to investigate as Hamilton Police are working to identify possible suspects in the case.
