Hamilton Police ask for help to ID suspect in bank robbery

Hamilton Police are looking to identify a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery at a bank in early February.

According to a press release issued on Thursday (March 3), police said they were called to a ‘financial institution’ located at Main and Locke Streets on February 7 at around 2 p.m.

It is alleged that a man entered the bank and handed a note over to one of the tellers, informing them that he was armed and robbing the establishment.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the area on foot. No injuries were incurred during the course of the robbery, and no weapons were seen, police said.

Investigators have released security camera images from the incident and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
