Alert: James MacDonald Elementary School will be closed today, Monday, February 22, 2021 due to a power outage in the area. There will be no remote learning for the students.

A power outage on the Hamilton Mountain is affecting hundreds of homes and businesses Monday morning (Feb. 22).

Alectra Utilities is reporting a limited power outage in the area of Mohawk Road to Rymal Road from Garth Street to Upper James Street which is affecting 1,617 of the utility provider’s customers.
The cause of the outage is under investigation and the estimated time for a return to power is 11 a.m.
