Hamilton mother and son’s deaths attributed to ‘tragic set of events’: Police

Hamilton Police have concluded the investigation into the deaths of a mother and son on Tragina Avenue South in the city’s East End over the weekend.

Police said in a press release issued Tuesday (Oct. 13) that the autopsies had been concluded and the deaths are ‘non-suspicious’ in nature.

“These were a tragic set of events and the investigation has been concluded,” police said in the release.

Hamilton Police were called by ‘family friends’ to a home on Tragina on Sunday (Oct. 11), at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, police say they located the bodies of a woman and her adult son. The bodies were sent for post mortems to determine the cause of death.

Police say the names of the deceased will not be released.
