UPDATE: Deceased person found in Hamilton; ‘heavy police presence’ in area

Residents and passersby in the Harbour West area of Hamilton were told they could expect to see an influx of police officers and vehicles on Tuesday.
Officers from Hamilton Police were carrying out a missing person search in that area. About 4½ hours after the public announcement on social media, they said the person was found deceased.
Missing person has been located and sadly was found deceased.

The name of a dead person is not revealed before their identity is confirmed and their next-of-kin are contacted.
