Hamilton man, who is nonverbal, reported missing

A Hamilton man, who is nonverbal due to a medical condition, was reported missing on Thursday afternoon (Dec. 16).

The Hamilton Police Service says that 38-year-old Robert (Robbie) Atkinson was last seen around 4:30 p.m. in the Lawrence Road and Rosedale Avenue area, near his family home. Robert is a white man who is five-foot-four with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a green jacket with black markings, grey pants, a yellow-and-blue tuque and green running shoes.

In October, a community effort helped locate Robert after he was reported missing. At that time, the HPS related that he lives with Down syndrome and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
