Hamilton man charged in St. Catharines man’s Fentanyl overdose

A Hamilton man has been charged in connection with the overdose death of a St. Catharines man back in July.

On July 22, police were called to a business in the Welland Ave and Geneva Street area in St. Catharines when a man appeared to be overdosing outside. The 26-year-old male never regained consciousness.

After a long investigation, on October 2, police charged Krzysztof Sojka, 34, of Hamilton with trafficking Fentanyl and manslaughter.

He is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing today (October 3) at the courthouse in St. Catharines.
