Hamilton man arrested after police respond to disturbance involving weapon

A Hamilton man is facing charges following a recent incident in Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation.

At 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police and Grey Bruce OPP responded to a disturbance call involving a weapon on Kaikaiknong Crescent.

“Members from the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), the OPP Canine Unit, and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit were mobilized, however cancelled after officers on scene took one individual into custody,” said OPP.

Police arrested Frank Grayston, a 43-year-old man from Hamilton.

He is charged with Assault causing bodily harm, two counts of Mischief under $5,000, two counts of Uttering threats, and Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

Grayston was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
