Hamilton man arrested after Halton police see alleged drug deal in Burlington

An investigation into a Burlington drug deal led Halton police to arrest a Hamilton man yesterday.

The 3-District street crime unit began their investigation when they observed what they believed was a drug deal on Queensway Drive in Burlington.

During the three-week investigation, the accused was subsequently observed conducting another drug transaction at another location in Burlington.

The final alleged drug deal took place yesterday in Hamilton, at which point he was placed under arrest, and search warrants were obtained for his residence and vehicle.

As a result of the search warrants, the following was seized:

  • 332.2 grams of fentanyl
  • 364 grams of ccaine
  • 69.3 grams of methamphetamine
  • 11.3 grams of MDMA
  • More than $30,000 in cash
  • .40 calibre Smith and Wesson hollow point ammunition
  • Glock magazine
  • two cell phones
  • three digital scales

The total street value of the seized drugs is more than $100,000.

Jitinderpal Bhamra, 20, of Hamilton has been charged with several counts of drug possession, as well as possession of stolen property and careless storage of ammunition.

Bhamra was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
