Hamilton home struck by gunshots while residents were sleeping: Police

A shooting early Sunday morning on Hamilton’s West Mountain is currently being investigated by police.

At approximately 6 a.m., a residence on Montcalm Drive (near Garth St and Lincoln M. Alexander Pkwy) was struck by gunfire while its occupants were asleep.

No injuries were reported.

Hamilton Police are investigating and believe this was a targeted shooting.

“Investigators are appealing to residents of the area to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity around the time of the shooting,” said police.

There is no suspect description at this time.
