‘Less talk more chaat’ is the motto at this new Hamilton restaurant and judging from the menu, we couldn’t agree more.

A new eatery specializing in Indian street food opened its doors in Stoney Creek recently and it’s quickly earning a reputation as a must-try spot for foodies.

Chaat Spot celebrated its grand opening at its storefront on South Service Road at the Winona Crossing Plaza last month and the menu is chock-full of exciting chaats, or street snacks, from the Indian subcontinent.

Items like the Stacked Samosa Chaat, Creamy Pakora Dippers and Smashed Masala Tiki offer some familiar flavours to fans of Indian cuisine but kick it up a notch by combining other textures and tastes for a truly unique new culinary offering in the city.

The menu also features wraps, called Frankie Rolls, and market-style bowls that are made to order with fresh ingredients that will cater to most dietary requirements, including Halal, vegan and Jain (no garlic or onions), and others.

For those with a sweet tooth, Chaat Spot also serves up a number of desserts and small-batch beverages like chai and lassi.

Chaat Spot is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and is located at 1356 S Service Road in lower Stoney Creek.
