Hamilton firefighters perform rope rescue on escarpment after person got ‘stuck’

The Hamilton Fire Department performed a rope rescue Tuesday evening (Feb. 1) after a person become stuck along part of the escarpment.
According to an HFD Tweet, crews were called shortly before sunset to the area behind Hamilton Cemetery on York Boulevard.
Rescuers performed a ‘high angle rope rescue’ and brought the person to safety.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
