Hamilton firefighters on scene of blaze at east mountain townhouse complex

Firefighters remain on the scene of a fire at a townhouse complex on the east Hamilton mountain Friday morning (Sept. 10).
Shortly after 8:30 a.m. the Hamilton Fire Department was called to a multiple-alarm structure fire at 525 Stonechurch Road East, near Upper Wentworth and Ridgemount Drive.
According to a fire department Tweet, crews were able to quick;y extinguish the fire inside one of the units.
“Firefighting crews are now conducting extensive overhaul at this time,” the Tweet said.
There are currently no reports of injuries and the extent of the damage to the building is yet to disclosed.
