Hamilton driver charged for not having the correct license plate

A Hamilton driver has been charged by police for using a license plate that did not match the vehicle.

On Jan. 31 at approximately 9:30 a.m., police stopped a car on Sherman Ave in Hamilton.

Police say that upon further investigation, officers discovered that the driver was operating a vehicle without an authorized license plate and car insurance.

Police say it is imperative for drivers to have auto insurance because it protects those involved in a collision.
