Hamilton crowds can rock out downtown this summer

The Summer Promenade has returned to bring more fun to your Thursdays in downtown Hamilton.
Every Thursday, Gore Park is transforming into a bustling space to enjoy your meals, live music, life-sized games, various vendors and food trucks.
The Downtown Hamilton BIA’s free, family friendly event runs until Aug. 31. It has changed its format. This year, two bands will be playing each day and there will be a fun event in between the sets.
The first band performs from noon to 2 p.m., with an event from 2 to 4 p.m. The final band will hit the stage from 4 to 6 p.m.
You’ll find seating, vendors, a food truck (weather permitting) and life-sized games such as Connect 4, Jenga and chess throughout the park each Thursday.
The event will happen rain or shine, except during severe weather. Check the event’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages for updates and more information.
