Only one area OHL game tonight (October 16) as the Hamilton Bulldogs will travel to St Catharines to play the Niagara IceDogs at the Meridian Centre at 7 pm for a back-to-back series.

But there was plenty of action last night.

Hamilton handed the IceDogs a 4-0 drubbing last night on goals by Mark Duarte and Goerge Diaco in the first, another by Avery Hayes in the second and Jonathon Melee in the third. Marco Costantini picked up the shut-out between the pipes.

The Oshawa Generals notched a 4-1 win in Ottawa, playing the 67s at the TD Place. Ryan Stepien opened the scoring for the Generals in the first before the 67s’ Brenden Sirizzotti evened the game in the second. But it was all Generals in third as Ryan Gagnier, Calum Ritchie and Stepian replied with unanswered goals.

The Mississauga Steelheads travelled up to North Bay, only to take a 7-1 beating from the Battalion. Only James Hardie was able to find the back of the net for the Steelheads, late into the third when it was out-of-reach.

The Steelheads will get another chance tonight against the Colts in Barrie tonight while the Generals are back in action against Peterborough tomorrow as the Petes travel to face Oshawa in the Tribute Communities Centre.
