The Hamilton Bulldogs acquired the rights to big power forward Brenden Anderson on Wednesday (Oct. 20) from the Kitchener Rangers.

In exchange for the 18-year-old, the Bulldogs sent a conditional 10th round draft selection to the Rangers.

“We are pleased to add Brenden to our forward group in Hamilton and give him the opportunity to continue to develop,” said Bulldogs president and general manager Steve Staios. “Brenden is a competitive player that brings size and depth to our lineup”.

Anderson, a product of Ohsweken, began the season with the Brantford 99ers of the OJHL, where he recorded four goals and two assists in six games.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder was originally selected by Kitchener in the 11th round, 215th overall, in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft.

Anderson will join the Bulldogs for the team’s weekend road trip to North Bay, Sudbury, and Mississauga.
