Embracing its rich legacy of 71 years, a beloved Hamilton bakery has decided to spice things up a little bit.

By collaborating with its sister brand, Sorella, Roma Bakery is set to host its first pop-up event in June.

Announcing the new venture on social media, Sorella stated that it will be “celebrating the finest products of Roma Bakery in new and innovative ways.”

The June 17 pop-up event at Trocadero restaurant on Barton St. will feature a five-course progressive meal accompanied by two alcoholic beverages paired to complement the flavours of each course.

With only 30 seats available, tickets for the event sold out quickly.

Located on Barton St. in Stoney Creek and known for its famous no cheese slab pizza since 1952, Roma Bakery has grown into a full-sized deli and has become one of the busiest bakeries in the Hamilton area.

Continuing his father’s legacy of excellence in quality, value and service, owner Philip Di Filippo and his son, Anthony, have expanded Roma Bakery’s offerings over time to adapt to their evolving customer base.
