Halton Region reporting 54 new COVID-19 cases, 20 in Burlington, 16 in Oakville, 10 in Halton Hills, and eight in Milton

The Region of Halton is reporting 54 new COVID-19 cases as of Monday (August 30).

Of Monday’s new cases, 20 are in Burlington, 16 are in Oakville, 10 are in Halton Hills, and eight are in Milton.

This brings the total for the Region to 18,712 cases. Of these, 114 are still active, while 18,360 have recovered, and 238 have died.

Ontario is reporting 694 new cases on Monday, but no new deaths. With 18,561 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 3.74 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 17,767 vaccinations. As of Monday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 78 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
