Halton Region reporting 30 new cases of COVID-19, 11 in Burlington, nine in Milton and Oakville, and one in Halton hills

The Region of Halton is reporting 30 new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday (August 24).

Of Tuesday’s new cases, 11 are in Oakville, nine are in Burlington, nine are in Milton, and just one is in Halton Hills.

This brings the total for the Region to 18,611 cases. Of these, 148 are still active, while 18,226 have recovered, and 237 have died.

Ontario is reporting 486 new cases on Tuesday, as well as 18 new deaths. With 17,369 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.8 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 36,655 vaccinations. As of Tuesday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 77 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
