Halton Region reporting 18 new COVID-19 cases, eight in Burlington, six in Oakville, three in Milton, and one in Halton Hills

The Region of Halton is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 as of Friday (August 27).

Of Friday’s new cases, eight are in Burlington, six are in Oakville, three are in Milton, and one is in Halton Hills.

This brings the total for the Region to 18,658 cases. Of these, 127 are still active, while 18,294 have recovered, and 237 have died.

Ontario is reporting 781 new cases on Friday, as well as 17 new deaths. With 30,063 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.6 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 36,195 vaccinations. As of Friday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 77 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
