Halton Region reporting 17 new COVID-19 cases, seven in Milton, five in Oakville, four in Burlington, and just one in Halton Hills

The Region of Halton is reporting 17 new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday (August 27).

Of Thursday’s new cases, seven are in Milton, five are in Oakville, four are in Burlington, and just one is in Halton Hills.

This brings the total for the Region to 18,640 cases. Of these, 131 are still active, while 18,272 have recovered, and 237 have died.

Ontario is reporting 678 new cases on Thursday, but no new deaths. With 27,815 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate down to 2.44 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 38,932 vaccinations. As of Thursday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 77 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
