Halton Region reporting 12 new COVID-19 cases, four in Burlington, three in Milton and Halton Hills, and two in Oakville

The Region of Halton is reporting 12 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday (August 25).

Of Wednesday’s new cases, four are in Burlington, three are in Milton, three are in Halton Hills, and two are in Oakville.

This brings the total for the Region to 18,623 cases. Of these, 138 are still active, while 18,248 have recovered, and 237 have died.

Ontario is reporting 660 new cases on Wednesday, but no new deaths. With 26,406 tests completed, this brings the positivity rate to 2.5 per cent.

Additionally, the Province is reporting another 40,254 vaccinations. As of Wednesday, 73 per cent of Ontarians have received at least one dose of a vaccine, including 84 per cent of adults, and 74 per cent of adults have been fully immunized.
