Halton police seeking to contact person seen in area of Georgetown fire

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) say they have confirmed the identities of the two deceased found at the scene of a Georgetown residential fire that occurred on February 17, 2021

Police say they have been identified as the homeowners, 56-year-old Krystyna (Emilia) Rerak and her 59-year-old husband, Andrzej (Andrew) Rerak.

Investigators would like to speak with the occupant of a vehicle that was observed in the area of Orchid Avenue, Robinson Road and Danby Road in Georgetown on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, between 4:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Police say the vehicle is described as a newer model, white, mid-sized SUV.

The vehicle may have driven past responding emergency vehicles while in the area, according to police.

Police continue to appeal to anyone who may have information about this incident or who may have dashcam footage or home surveillance footage of the area of Hidden Lake Trail in Georgetown between the hours of 6:00 am on Tuesday, February 16 and 6:00 am on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, to please contact the Halton Regional Police Service Homicide Tip Line at 905-825-4776 if you have not already spoken with police.
