Halton Police rescue man from Milton house fire

Halton Regional Police are being credited with saving a man from a house fire in Milton.
According to reports, the fire on Sherwood Rd. broke out just after 7:30 p.m. last night (Dec. 6).
When officers arrived on the scene they were told somebody was still inside the house. Two officers then rushed into the building and safely brought the man down from a second storey bedroom.
The man was taken to hospital and is being treated for burns.
Milton firefighters arrived on the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the amount of damage to the house has not yet been determined.
