Halton Police on scene after pedestrian struck and killed by train in Milton

A portion of Sixth Line in Milton is closed Thursday morning (June 17) after a person was struck and killed by an eastbound train.

Halton Regional Police Services (HRPS), are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area of Sixth Line at the railway crossing, just north of Derry Road, as they remain on the scene to investigate the incident.

Police have closed Sixth Line to northbound traffic.

GO Train service along the Milton Line has been suspended and the transit provider has warned passengers that delays and cancellations could last for quite some time.
