Halton police offering reward of $50K in Georgetown homicide investigation

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is offering a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of a Georgetown man.

According to police, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, after 11:00 p.m., 36-year-old Ryan Lorde was shot and killed outside of his home in the area of Monarch Dr. and Niagara Tr. in Georgetown.

Police say despite an exhaustive investigation as well as previous appeals for information, no suspect(s) have been identified.

Investigators believe that the vehicle related to the shooting is a black, 2007 – 2009, four-door sedan.

Police say the vehicle is possibly a Toyota Camry or a similar make or model. It is also possible this vehicle was rented, stolen or loaned at the time of the murder, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information, CCTV video footage or dashcam video that may further their investigation to please call the Homicide Tip Line at 905-825-4776.
