Halton Police in Oakville on scene of overnight assault; residents asked to avoid area

Police in Oakville are on the scene of an overnight assault Thursday morning (Oct. 28) and are asking residents to avoid the area.
According to Halton Police, officers attended the area of Newcastle Cres. and Pine Glen Road in Oakville overnight to reports of an assault.
As of early Thursday morning, police have not disclosed the nature of the assault or the extent of injuries but they are asking the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
