Halton police hunting for armed suspects in Georgetown robbery attempt

Halton police are searching for two men who tried to rob a Halton Hills payday loan store yesterday.
At around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, police say two suspects entered the “Cash 4 You” loan store located at 184 Guelph St. in Georgetown. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and pointed it at an employee and a customer.
The suspect threatened the employee and demanded access to the rear of the store. The employee immediately called police and the suspects fled the scene.
The first suspect is a black male, early to mid 20s, tall, dressed in all black clothing and wearing a black facemask.
The second suspect was armed with a gun, a black male, short, early 20ss, dressed in all black clothing and wearing a black facemask.
No physical injuries were sustained as a result of the robbery and nothing was stolen.
It is believed the same suspects are responsible for a similar robbery that occurred in Peel earlier the same day.
