Halton police charge man with human trafficking offences

Earlier this month, the Halton Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit began investigating a man in his thirties after allegedly discovering a young female who had been the victim of human trafficking dating back to 2017. 

Halton police say the trafficking took place across the Greater Toronto Area.

Police charged the suspect with the numerous offences, including benefitting from sexual services, procuring to provide sexual services, advertising sexual services and more.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
