Halton police arrest two following collectible store break-ins in Oakville, Burlington, Niagara

Two people have been arrested following a series of commercial break-ins in Oakville, Burlington, Niagara, York, London and Brantford.
Halton police made the arrests in relation to an investigation dubbed “Project Umbreon” that began last month.
Investigators identified a suspect who was believed to be responsible for several commercial break and enters that targeted collectible stores. On Feb. 24, investigators searched a residence and storage facility in Hamilton that were associated with the suspect.
A search warrant was also executed on a vehicle belonging to a female connected to the suspect.
As a result of the search warrants, investigators seized a large quantity of collectible items stolen during recent break and enters.
The stolen items included high-valued sports cards, Pokémon and other collectible cards, comic books and figurines.

The estimated value of the stolen collectibles is $400,000. Investigators are working to identify the rightful owners of the stolen items.
Jarreh Grant, 32, of Stoney Creek has been charged with several counts of break and enter, trafficking in property obtained by crime, possession of break and enter tool, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of crack cocaine.
Grant has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Sarah Skrtich, 32, of Hamilton has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Skrtich was released on an undertaking.
