Halton Hills native Condotta nets first NHL goal on first shot with Montreal Canadiens

Georgetown native Lucas Condotta finally got to live out the dream of many young hockey players.
Condotta, 25, scored a goal on his first shot in his first game with the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, April 13, the team’s final game of the year.
It was a fairytale start to Condotta’s NHL career after being undrafted but Montreal ended up losing the game to the Boston Bruins, 5-4.
Condotta managed five shots on goal as well as three hits in 11:02 of action.
The Halton Hills native spent four years at UMass-Lowell before signing with Montreal near the end of the 2021-22 season. He got seven games with Montreal’s minor league affiliate Laval last season.
This year, Condotta had 16 goals and 30 points in 71 AHL games before his one-game, emergency recall.
