Halton Hills Hydro is issuing reminder calls to residents about an upcoming planned power outage.

The planned power outage is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and is expected to affect approximately 13,000 customers.

Halton Hills Hydro is advising residents that if they received a phone call from them regarding the Hydro One scheduled outage on Oct. 22, it was a legitimate call.

They will also be issuing reminder calls about the outage on Oct. 20.

The planned outage is required in order for Hydro One to make necessary repairs to the station that transmits electricity to Halton Hills Hydro.

Areas that will be affected by the outage include Georgetown north of Hungry Hollow and most rural customers throughout Halton Hills including Limehouse, Speyside, Stewarttown, Balinafad, Terra Cotta and Ashgrove.
