The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is conducting a survey that will collect information from the community on various topics such as safety and well-being, learning and instruction and school environment.

Students, parents/guardians and staff are invited to participate in the online engagement survey called Have Your Say from now until Apr. 21.

According to the HDSB, the information collected will help the board continue creating a positive environment, inform school improvement and well-being plans and allow parents/guardians and students to have their say in creating a supportive community.

The survey will also provide feedback to the board regarding goals and targets in the HDSB’s Multi-Year Plan 2020-2024.

“As partners in education, your input is valued and appreciated,” said Curtis Ennis, Director of Education for the HDSB.

”The Board is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and building relationships to continually improve the educational experience for all students. Engaging students, parents/guardians and staff is critical to student success, which is why we’re inviting you to complete this online survey. With your feedback, we can help guide meaningful change to improve student learning, well-being and success.”

The surveys are confidential and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The survey is available in seven additional languages such as Arabic, French, Hindi, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Urdu for parents/guardians.

A summary of the information collected will be shared with stakeholders in the fall.
