Looking for a place to hang with family and friends while showing off your Halloween costume and roller skating skills?

Halloweekend — a two-day outdoor roller skating event presented by Tim Hortons is happening at Square One in Mississauga this month.

You can spend the day gliding across the outdoor roller rink to the beats of a live DJ spinning Halloween classics.

In case visitors get hungry, they can make a pit stop at the Mac and Cheese Festival hosted by Street Eats and grab some treats.

There will also be Halloween movie screenings, an Open Air Storytime, and games for all ages.

This event is free to attend and kicks off on Saturday (Oct. 28).

The program will begin at the Celebration Square Amphitheatre with Open Air Storytime by the Mississauga Library from 11:00 am to 11:45 am—tailored for children aged 3 to 10.

The excitement continues with the opening of the food stalls, roller rink and roller skate rentals at noon, extending until 10:00 pm.

The festivities peak at 2:00 pm with a screening of a Halloween classic movie: Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride.

The evening finishes off with a Live DJ Skate featuring DJ Savannah from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

If you happen to miss Saturday’s line-up you can attend a similar experience on Sunday.

On Oct. 29, the roller rink and skate rentals open their doors again at noon, extending until 7:00 pm. During this time the Mac and Cheese Street Festival will also be available to patrons.

At 2:00 pm, visitors can gather for an encore of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride.

Halloweekend will wrap up with a final Live DJ Skate, as  DJ Savannah returns from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
