Police are urging residents in a Mississauga neighbourhood “to remain vigilant” after a home was targeted by gunfire and arson four times in a month.
Between December and January, Peel Regional Police say officers were called to a home on Kempton Park Drive four times.
The incidents have ranged from shots being fired at the home and fires, with police saying there has been “significant property damage.”
A stolen black Honda CR-V SUV with Ontario licence plate CFZY757 was recorded on a security camera during one of the incidents, along with a masked suspect.
No injuries have been reported.
And while police say the incidents are believed to be targeted and isolated to a single residence, residents are reminded “to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police immediately,” police say.
“Residents can expect an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues,” police said in a release.
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact investigators by calling 905-453-2121 ext. 1133. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
When you contact Crime Stoppers you stay anonymous, never have to testify, and could receive a $2,000 reward.
