A gunshot cracked the night in downtown Oshawa last weekend after a fight.
Around 9:30 p.m. on December 10, Durham Regional Police received a report about an armed person near Nassau St and King St. The area is a commercial stretch of road home to numerous small businesses. Down Nassau St. is a residential neighbourhood.
Police described the altercation only as an “incident” between the suspect and a victim. During this incident, the suspect became violent with the victim.
The suspect then brandished a gun and shot at the victim. He missed his shot and sprinted down Nassau St.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a single shell casing. No one was hurt by the gunshot.
Police have yet to identify the suspect. He is described as a Black man, around 20 years old. He was wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants with a white stripe, and black shoes. He had black shoulder-length hair in dreadlocks.
