Gunpoint robbery and assault in Oshawa sees charges from Brampton man

A gunpoint hold-up in Oshawa has led to charges against six people including a 21-year-old from Brampton.
The robbery happened on Monday when a female grabbed a victim’s phone at a business in the area of John Street East and Simcoe Street South in Oshawa, according to Durham Regional Police.
The female took the phone outside the business and demanded the victim follow her outside, and that’s when police say the victim was jumped by four other suspects.
Police say the group surrounded and assaulted the victim, robbing them at gunpoint before they managed to escape by fleeing to a nearby park.
Officers say they tracked the suspects to a residence and six people were taken into custody. Police say a search of the home turned up a loaded firearm.
Six people have been charged in connection to the incident, including a 21-year-old from Brampton.
Tre Bucknor, 21, of Brampton has been charged with multiple offences including assault and robbery with a firearm.
