Police are searching for suspects after a gunpoint carjacking in Brampton last night.

Just before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday (April 11), Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Chinguacousy Rd. and Clockwork Dr. in Brampton for reports of a carjacking.

Police say the driver of a Honda Civic was parking the vehicle and got out of the car when they were approached by two men.

One of the suspects had a gun, and while the victim wasn’t injured in the robbery the two men took the victim’s keys and made off with the Honda, police said.

The suspects are described as two Black males in their early 20s, and police say they were wearing dark clothing at the time of the carjacking.

The Honda Civic has a licence plate number of CSYX398. Police initially said the carjacking happened in Mississauga but later clarified that the incident occurred in Brampton.
