Peel Regional Police are appealing for witnesses and surveillance footage as they investigate a shooting that occurred in a Brampton residential neighbourhood last week.
Investigators say officers were called to Chamney Court shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 19, following reports of gunfire.
According to police, a verbal altercation involving several individuals took place before shots were fired. No information about injuries has been released.
The investigation is being led by the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau.
Police said the incident is believed to have been targeted and isolated, but residents in the area are being urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting to review dashcam or security camera footage that may assist the investigation.
No suspect information has been released and no arrests have been announced.
