Parkwood Estate in Oshawa is reassuring locals that gunfire they might hear coming from the national historic site this month is nothing more than movie magic.
The mansion, the former home of General Motors of Canada founder Col. Sam McLaughlin, is a popular place for movie makers and is currently closed to the public until May 27 for the shoot, rumoured to be Bookie and the Bruiser, starring Vince Vaughn.
Durham Regional Police are aware of the simulated shooting and are working with production staff to minimize public concerns.
