Gun used in carjacking in Brampton plaza

A man was held at gunpoint during a carjacking last night (Aug 5) in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police received a call around 9:45 p.m. after a man had his vehicle stolen in the Heart Lake Town Centre plaza parking lot near Sandalwood Pkwy. East and Kennedy Rd. North.

The victim told police that two black men wearing dark clothing pointed a gun at him and proceeded to steal his vehicle. The victim was not physically harmed during the incident.

The stolen car is described as a blue Honda Civic-Touring, license plate CKSL569.

There are no other descriptors available for the suspects at this time.

Police ask drivers in the area with dash cameras to review their footage on Aug. 5 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and report any suspicious activity to detectives at 905-453-3311.
