Gun brandished in early morning ATM robbery attempt in Bowmanville

Durham Police are on the lookout for a man who brandished a gun and demanded cash at a bank ATM in Bowmanville earlier this month.

Police say the victim was in the TD Canada Trust drive-thru on Longworth Avenue around six a.m. on June 16 when the suspect, armed with a firearm, approached her vehicle and made a demand for cash.

The suspect was not able to get any cash or property and fled on foot. The victim didn’t sustain any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as Black, with blotchy skin tone on his nose and cheek, 30-40 years old, 5’10” tall, black facial hair and brown eyes. He wore all black clothes and a black face covering.
