Two men have been charged after police say they found a firearm, ammunition and heroin following a shooting in Brampton, police say.
Peel Regional Police say the shooting happened on April 24 at a residence in the area of Raindrop Terrace and Mississauga Road in Brampton.
The investigation led officers to search a home in the area of Swanton Road and Victoriaville Road in Brampton on June 4, where police say they found a 9mm Glock firearm, a 17-round magazine with 16 rounds of ammunition and an undisclosed quantity of black tar heroin.
Police say two men from Brampton were arrested, one of whom has been charged with multiple offences.
Peel police say Maninder Singh, 23, has been charged with multiple offences including discharge firearm in reckless manner and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition or knowing its possession is unauthorized, while Tirath Singh, 24, has been charged with intentionally discharge a firearm recklessly.
Both of the accused were held for a bail hearing in Brampton, police say.
