A staff member is facing sexual assault charges following an investigation at an sexual Oshawa group home.
Investigators with the Durham Police Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a female staff member who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy several times at the group home in February.
Further investigation revealed that between September 2025 and January 2026 the woman is accused of engaging the victim in a sexual relationship.
The suspect, 30-year-old Shari Shoshana McGregor of Clarington, was arrested Wednesday and taken into custody/
McGregor is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
She was released on an Undertaking.
Police have concerns there may be further victims and anyone with information about this or similar incidents is asked to contact D/Cst. Brown of the Special Victims Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5318.
